Explaining Matched Wake Analysis

We use visual storytelling to explain the workings of the statistical method Matched Wake Analysis for performing causal inference on spatio-temporal event data.

We generated three stories, each based on a different application of Matched Wake Analysis.

This story follows an example in which Matched Wake Analysis was used to determine the impact of certain kinds of social aid projects on insurgent activities in Afghanistan. This is the example application we use in our paper.
